SYSTEM / FAQ

Before you play

Rules, camera use, and reaction timing.

How do I start the blink reaction test?

Press “Allow camera & calibrate” above and keep your face centered. After about eight seconds of calibration, you can start the battle without installing an app or creating an account.

What counts as a valid counter?

Blink only inside a true window, when both opponent eyes fully close together. A wink or half-close is a feint; following a feint or blinking off-window costs health and breaks your combo.

How is fastest reaction measured?

The game measures the delay between the opponent's eyelids starting to close and your own closure starting. Anticipatory blinks are excluded; your fastest clean reaction appears in the battle report.

Are camera frames uploaded?

No. MediaPipe Face Landmarker runs in a browser Web Worker. Video frames remain in device memory and are never uploaded, recorded, or used for identity recognition.

Why does each session need calibration?

Eye shape, camera angle, and lighting vary by player. Calibration learns your personal open- and closed-eye thresholds to reduce false detections; recalibrate after a major lighting or posture change.

Which device and setup work best?

Use desktop Chrome or Edge with a webcam and even front lighting. Pause immediately if your eyes feel tired, dry, or uncomfortable.
